Quality Standards and Control Corrosion Protection Coating Aqualok corrosion protection coatings are available for most applications. Corrosion protection must specified upon placement of order. The following coatings are readily available : Fusion Bonded Epoxy FBE - thermoset powder coating to SABS 1217 : 1984 Rilsan Nylon 11 - thermoplastic polyamide powder coating Hot dip galvanising to BS 729 : 1971 Black etch primer transit coating Additional customer specified coatings can be accommodated upon request Coupling nut, bolt and washer coatings are supplied hot dipped galvanised as standard. Cadmium plated or other specified coatings for bolts, nut and washer can also be accommodated upon request.   In-house protective coating facilties Pipe Specials is capable of delivering the superior performance of a heat cured, 100% solid thermosetting epoxy providing excellent resistance to abrasion and impact. Designed to provide maximum protection under conditions varying from good to very challenging, Fusion Bonded Epoxy is resistant to and unaffected by salts, alkalies, soil acids or othe checimals normally found in underground and underwater applications. This makes our products ideal for potable water and gas pipelines.
