In December 1998, Ochiai received both ISO-9001 & QS-9000 certification at the same time, demonstrating that they have a well established quality control system.

In order to provide our customers with stable and high quality products, a strict quality inspection is executed in each manufacturing process, based on operation standards. On the other hand, our quality assurance department performs quality control covering the whole range from receiving materials to final inspection with introducing inspecting equipment of the newest type. The results of these inspections are collectively controlled, and are employed profitably for data analysis to work a continuous improvement in quality while utilized as basic materials for development. ISO-9001 and QS-9000 Ochiai was accredited by U.S. Ford as Q1 which is conferred on a company superb in quality control, in 1988.which is conferred on a company superb in quality control, in 1988. After then, several international standards were laid down, demanding manufacturers in the world to attach great importance to quality control system which forms the foundation of making fine products, and manufacturers have been requested to obtain ISO-9001 certification, which is paid high regard to in Europe, and QS-9000 certification, which is considered as an essential qualification among U.S. Big 3 (GM, Ford and Chrysler). Obtaining such certification is now a passport necessary to transact business with most of major companies in the world. We received certification for both of these international standards in December, 1998, and have worked for global extention of market.
