The process of selecting timing belts and belt tensioners for new prototypes or for production applications just became easier with the publication by QTC of a FREE 56-page catalog, identified as Q450. 

Topics in the catalog covered in detail, include belt configurations, belt construction, belt tensioning, drive alignment, idler usage, and belt pull and bearing load considerations, etc. The catalog, which includes over 1,140 products, is divided into 2 product sections. Section 1 covers inch and metric timing belts which are stocked in 11 different profiles. Made from fiberglass reinforced neoprene, these belts are available in trapezoidal, curvilinear and European tooth forms. These include MXL, XL, L, HTD3, HTD5, HTD8, T2.5, T5, T10, AT5 and AT10. In addition, this section includes belt tension tester products. 

Section 2 features the complete line of Zetasassi belt and chain tensioners. These products improve performance by keeping constant tension. These maintenance free tensioners are designed to reduce noise, transmit drive torque more efficiently, decrease wear, plus increase the life of belts and chain.
