Ball-Face Clean-Break-Couplings in stainless steel primarily for applications in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry

Walther Präzision has developed a new clean-break-coupling series which fulfills the safety requirements in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. Up to now the quick couplings of the BF-series are available with the end connections 1/4", 1/2" and 3/4" BSPP threads. They offer high flow values at low pressure drops and were thoroughly and successfully tested in difficult working conditions in the chemical industry.

The following features are remarkable:
  • Usable for non-lubricating and lubricating media
  • Easy cleansing due to smooth surface and ball face cleansing position
  • Squirt-free connection at minimized air inclusion
  • Plug coupling with automatic lock (one hand operation)
  • Patended guidance of the adaptor prevents squirt effects in case the coupling is not held parallel.

Materials:

Seals:
Stainless steel 1.4404 or 1.4571 (AISI 316 l or AISI 316 ti)

Standard is FPM (Viton).  On customer's request Perflour-Elastomer-Seals in combination with PTFE (Teflon) are also available

Special quick couplings for thermal oil

Schnellverschlusskupplung

Walther Präzision has introduced a new quick coupling for use in all thermal oil applications, requiring temperature resistance to 310° C (592° F). Thus breaking the barrier of 200° C - 250° C (392° F - 482° F). It has also been tested and proven in its application by several Walther Präzision customers. Its application includes thermal media transfer, heat exchanging and preheating equipment for moulds.

These coupling's special features include:
special heat and thermal media resistant seals, integrated oil crust stripper, high temperature stainless steel valve springs, automatic safety locking device, convenient hand grips, dual external connecting latches, safety heat insulated contact surfaces and squirt-free valves.

The working pressure is up to 45 bar (653 PSI) and it is available in nominal bore sizes 12 mm/G 3/4 and 19 mm/G 1.

Clean break couplings for high pressure hydraulic up to 650 bar (9,425 PSI) / Series HC

Clean break couplings

  • plug coupling
  • one-hand push to connect with automatic lock
  • no fluid loss or air inclusion during connecting and disconnecting
  • full working pressure capability in both, connected and disconnected, positions on coupling and adaptor side

The HC series is available in nominal bore sizes from 6 mm - 20 mm.

Materials:

Seals:

steel, zinc plated, yellow chromated

special seals are used for mineral oil based hydraulic fluids, HFA- and HFB- liquids
